HIEUTHUHAI has nearly 4.5 million followers on social media.

HIEUTHUHAI, whose real name is Tran Minh Hieu, was born in 1999 and gained prominence through the King of Rap 2020 competition. After the show, he and the group Gerdnang released several music projects such as Mamma Mia, Ve tinh (Satellite), Nghe nhu tinh yeu (Sounds Like Love), and Ngu mot minh (Sleeping Alone).

Beyond music, his handsome appearance and captivating performance style have also drawn significant attention.

In 2023, HIEUTHUHAI launched his debut album, Ai cung phai bat dau tu do (Everyone Has to Start Somewhere), with hits like Exit Sign, Khong the say (Cannot Be Drunk), Khong phai gu (Not My Type), and Nolovenolife. Performances on the show Anh trai say hi (Brothers Say Hi) such as Ngao ngo (Clueless), Kim phut kim gio (Minute Hand Hour Hand), and Sao hang A (Top-Tier Stars) consistently trended and garnered millions of views.

With nearly 4.5 million followers across social media platforms and engagement rates ranging from 200,000 to over 500,000 per post, HIEUTHUHAI's popularity is immense. His Instagram account alone has over 825,000 followers.

According to Socialite, HIEUTHUHAI topped the list of artists with the most discussions during year-end music events, accumulating nearly 1.2 million mentions. This placed him far ahead of runner-up Soobin, who had 400,000 fewer mentions.

HIEUTHUHAI has earned three nominations for the Làn Sóng Xanh 2024 awards: Male Singer/Rapper of the Year, Song of the Year (Ngao ngo), and Impressive Young Talent at the VTV Awards 2024.

His recent successes, including winning Anh trai say hi, have further cemented his reputation as a major figure in the Vietnamese music scene.

2. Phuong My Chi

Born in 2003, Phuong My Chi rose to fame as the runner-up of The Voice Kids Vietnam 2013. Since then, she has made her mark with albums such as Thuong ve mien Trung (Affection for Central Vietnam), 16 Xuan Trang (16 Lunar Springs), and Bat Nha Thuyen (Wisdom Vessel). She also ventured into acting with projects like Hai Lua and Mua He 1999 (Summer 1999).

2023 marked a turning point in her career with the release of Vu tru Co bay (The Universe of the Flying Stork), an album blending pop ballad with traditional Vietnamese music. The project earned her numerous awards and was later followed by a deluxe version featuring four new songs: Luom, Buon trang (Moon Business), Con co va mat troi (The Stork and the Sun), and Rock hat gao (Rock Rice Grain).

In 2024, celebrating a decade in music, she initiated the Vu tru Co bay school tour, a free nationwide concert series for students. She funded this project with 10 billion VND (approximately $420,000) from her savings, showcasing her dedication to her craft and her audience.

Phuong My Chi's innovative approach to traditional music has resonated with fans across generations. With over 3.1 million followers on social media, she continues to be one of Vietnam's most beloved artists.

3. tlinh

tlinh is a rising star among Gen Z artists.

Nguyen Thao Linh, born in 2000, better known as tlinh, gained recognition as the only female finalist in Rap Viet 2020. With over 2 million followers across social platforms, including nearly 150,000 on Instagram, she is one of the most influential Gen Z artists in Vietnam.

Her debut album, ái (Love), released in 2023, was a turning point in her career. Highlights include her collaboration on SAIGONTEY with The Thien and her nomination for Best Collaboration at the Làn Sóng Xanh 2024 awards with the track Phong zin zin (Effortlessly Cool), featuring Low G.

Duong Domic

Duong Domic continues to shine with multiple projects.

Born in 2000, Duong Domic, whose real name is Tran Dang Duong, gained attention as a standout contestant in Anh trai say hi. Known for his versatile skills in singing, rapping, and dancing, he quickly became a fan favorite.

Initially an underground artist, his works like Yeu em 2 ngay (Loving You for Two Days) and La em chinh em (It’s You, Just You) did not achieve significant success. However, after the show, his fan base grew exponentially, with over 1.5 million followers on social media and a thriving fan group named Dopamine.

His professional growth includes forming the group MOPIUS with Quang Hung MasterD, HURRYKNG, and JSOL. Their debut track Lan uu tien (Priority Lane) has garnered over 4.6 million views within two weeks.

5. Mono

MONO’s latest release solidifies his position as a top artist.

Nguyen Viet Hoang, born in 2000, known by his stage name MONO, has released one album, one EP, and eight singles in just two years. His hit Waiting for You surpassed 100 million views, making him a top-tier artist within months of his debut.

MONO's recent EP DEP (Beautiful) continued his success, with the track Em xinh (You’re Beautiful) trending among youth. His latest single, Di tim tinh yeu (Searching for Love), made it to the top charts of iTunes Vietnam and YouTube.

With over 1 million followers, MONO has grown from being the younger brother of Son Tung M-TP to an independent artist with a strong reputation.
