According to the deputy CEO of VietinBank, Tran Cong Quynh Lan, generative AI has created big changes at enterprises.
Enterprises' leaders have tried AI and created pressure to change their workers’ thinking.
Once both leaders and workers in enterprises begin understanding technology, they will find great potential in using generative AI in their work. For example, they can use AI to increase productivity, or use it as an exchange with clients.
However, Lan warned that risks are always associated with advantages. Scammers now can use deepfake videos impersonating well-known persons, which poses risks when updating changes in personnel and staffing when using generative AI.
Wilmar CLV’s CTO Vu Manh Cuong said generative AI satisfies more requirements in different fields.
Tran Nhat Minh, deputy CEO of VIB Bank, said previously, commercial banks used AI in technological solutions when providing services, such as preventing and controlling frauds and using bots to call clients.
However, the appearance of generative AI like ChatGPT has changed the world. Apple previously just had Siri (virtual assistant using voice recognition powered by AI) to sell products. Amazon had to dissolve the Alexa division.
Meanwhile, the world has begun talking about ChatGPT, and this is just a beginning.
The story of generative AI is just like the appearance of iPhone in 2007. At that time, people were unfamiliar with mobile phones without keyboard and images zoomed with fingertips. However, iPhones changed the world of smartphones. And so can generative AI.
However, experts believe that generative AI is just a tool and still cannot play a strategic role in digital transformation at enterprises.
According to Minh, AI is just beginning and is helping enterprises in their first steps. But digital transformation strategies come from enterprises’ leaders’ minds, not from a tool.
Lan agreed that the decisive factor in enterprises’ digital transformation is the thinking of leaders, and that the greatest challenge in digital transformation is changing the way of thinking.
