Fruit orchards in southern provinces such as Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu and Đồng Nai have alarmingly low yields due to a lack of irrigation water caused by heat waves and dry weather.

A Vietnamese sea and island festival will be held in Vung Tau city of southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on a large scale for the first time, said organisers at a press conference on May 10.
