The highland district of Binh Lieu in Quang Ninh Province, some 300km east of Hanoi, has attracted travelers thanks to its beautiful scenery and unique culture.
Binh Lieu boasts a primitive landscape with reed hills, a sea of floating clouds, flowers, streams and waterfalls. The 30-kilometer-long border patrol route is also worth dropping by.
In Binh Lieu, tourists can witness the Dao ethnic women working on the farm in their unique and beautiful costumes. Some of the San Chi ethnic girls also play football in their traditional dresses.
During cultural festivals, visitors can see traditional wedding ceremonies of the San Chi ethnic minority group, as well as participate in folk games such as tug-of-war, make banh day (sticky rice cake) and sing love songs.
