As the Lunar New Year of 2025 (Year of the Snake) approaches, the Naval Region 4 Command organized a delegation to visit and extend New Year’s wishes to the military personnel and residents on the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands.

The voyage braved rough seas and strong winds to deliver heartfelt sentiments, trust, and gifts from across Vietnam to the officials, soldiers, and citizens stationed at this vital outpost, safeguarding the nation’s maritime sovereignty.

The delegation conveyed warm wishes, encouraging the military and civilian population of the islands to celebrate a cozy, joyful, and safe Lunar New Year.

The vibrant atmosphere of spring celebrations and traditional Tet preparations were evident across the archipelago. On Truong Sa, this included activities such as decorating homes and public spaces, preparing ancestral altars, and organizing festive meals.

Naval vessels brought gifts, including ornamental kumquat and peach trees, to brighten the islands for the holiday season.
