The administration of Ho Chi Minh City has initiated plans to host an annual flower festival and markets which will celebrate the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
The 8th Da Lat Flower Festival 2019 is underway in Da Lat city, with thousands of visitors descending on the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong for the event.
Da Lat city always sees a dramatic surge of visitors for its biennial flower festival, which has become a cultural trademark of the Central Highlands.
Preparations for the upcoming 8th Da Lat Flower Festival were underway and would be completed by November 30, according to officials.
HCM City’s Spring Flower Festival 2016 will open at Tao Dan Park in District 1 and Cong Truong Quoc Te Street, near Turtle Lake roundabout in District 3 on February 3 and run until 14, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Green Trees and Park Company.
