Vietnam wishes to deepen strategic partnership with Japan for peace and prosperity in the region, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has told Japanese media agencies. 

 Defence cooperation between Vietnam and the US would be developing further, after having reaped new and practical progress, said Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Ba Ty.

 Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hailed the socio-economic performance in May as the best since early this year during the monthly government meeting in Hanoi on June 3. 

The international community has given positive assessments of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to the US from May 29-31.
