On February 20, an official from the Hoang Mai District Police Department confirmed that law enforcement officers were actively investigating an arson case that took place in Dai Kim Ward.

According to local authorities, the incident occurred late on February 19. The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, left a gasoline-filled bottle outside a home’s gate, set it on fire, and fled the scene.

A representative from the Dai Kim Ward Police stated, “After receiving reports from residents and the affected family, our team is working urgently to track down the suspect.”

Footage shared on social media shows a man wearing a rideshare driver’s jacket riding a motorbike into a narrow alley. He then parks his vehicle, walks toward the house, and retrieves a small green bottle from his pocket. Moments later, he ignites the bottle and throws it toward the house, causing flames to erupt before he quickly rides away.

Surveillance footage also captured the suspect returning to the scene shortly after to observe the situation before finally leaving.

According to the Hoang Mai District Police, the fire did not cause any injuries.
