After six months of commercial operation, the Nhon - Hanoi Station metro line’s elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay has transported nearly 3.4 million passengers.

According to data from Hanoi Metro Company, since the start of operations, the line has recorded an average of over 480,000 passengers per month.

Notably, more than 60% of passengers use monthly passes, highlighting the growing reliance on urban rail transport, particularly among students, office workers, and daily commuters.

The Nhon - Hanoi Station metro’s elevated section spans 8.5 kilometers and began commercial operation on August 8, 2024. During the first 15 days of free service, the line carried over 100,500 passengers.

A representative from Hanoi Metro Company stated that construction of the underground section from Cau Giay to Hanoi Station is currently underway, with plans to commence operations in 2026.
