Developed by the city’s Department of Tourism, the map offers virtual tours of over 100 landmarks, museums, and entertainment venues through an immersive platform with three-dimensional (3D) displays and 360-degree views.
Since its launch in 2019, the map has garnered over 350,000 interactive experiences from tourists from 121 countries and territories. Map 3D/360 has revolutionized how travelers access detailed and accurate information about city attractions.
The user-friendly map is accessible on laptops, tablets and mobile devices, making it easy for travelers to navigate HCMC and enhance their tourist experiences. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, tourists can immerse themselves in a realistic atmosphere through audio, multilingual text, and virtual reality (VR) data facilitated by suitable devices.
Previously, tourists had to rely on various media platforms like television, newspapers, the internet, and travel agencies, but often faced challenges such as outdated data, limited accessibility, and insufficient visual content.
With Map 3D/360, users can take selfies by mobile devices and directly share their photos on the 3D/360 perspective.
The map also provides precise dimensions, enabling visitors to estimate the exact distances between prominent landmarks in HCMC.
