Do Vinh Quang, the second son of Do Quang Hien, founder and Chairman of T&T Group, has been officially appointed Chairman of Vietravel Airlines. His elder brother, Do Quang Vinh, also holds a leadership position as a member of the airline’s Board of Directors.

On April 1, the Vietnam Travel Airlines JSC (Vietravel Airlines) held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders for the 2025 fiscal year.
At the meeting, shareholders elected a new Board of Directors for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of 10 members, and a new Supervisory Board with three members.
During the session, Do Vinh Quang was elected Chairman of the Board.
The newly elected board includes other notable figures such as Do Quang Vinh (Vice Chairman of SHB Bank and Chairman of BVIM Fund), Nguyen Ngoc Nghi (Deputy CEO of T&T Group), along with other senior executives from T&T Airlines and T&T SuperPort.
This development marks the official entry of both sons of Do Quang Hien into the management team of Vietravel Airlines, following the recent acquisition of strategic stakes by T&T Group affiliates and BVIM Fund.
Born in 1995, Do Vinh Quang, the newly appointed chairman, is the second son of T&T Group's founder and currently serves as Vice Chairman of T&T Group. He also drew public attention when he became Chairman of Hanoi Football Club at just 25 years old.
His older brother, Do Quang Vinh (born in 1989), serves as Vice Chairman of SHB Bank and is also Chairman of SHS Securities (Saigon - Hanoi Securities JSC).
Together, Do Quang Hien and his two sons hold 8.42% of SHB Bank’s charter capital, amounting to approximately 308.4 million shares, or nearly VND 3,300 billion (USD 130 million) in value.
The leadership appointments follow the announcement three months ago that T&T Group, through its subsidiaries and investment fund BVIM, had become strategic shareholders in Vietravel Airlines.
Speaking after his appointment, Do Vinh Quang affirmed that the newly formed Board will implement a comprehensive restructuring plan, focusing on improving corporate governance, developing high-quality human resources, expanding the airline’s fleet size and domestic route network, and seeking partnerships and joint ventures to grow international routes.
As Vietnam’s first tourism-focused airline, Vietravel Airlines was established in April 2020 with an initial charter capital of VND 700 billion (USD 28 million). The carrier launched its first commercial flight in 2021.
By November 2024, the airline increased its capital to VND 1,300 billion (USD 52 million).
Despite new strategic shareholders joining in late 2024, the airline continues to face challenges in capital, fleet size, and route expansion. Vietravel Airlines currently operates only one narrow-body aircraft under a dry lease and offers limited services on domestic routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and an international route to Bangkok, Thailand.
