Mai Linh Tay Do JSC is managing the Mai Linh Express high-speed boat operation. The company started its operation with the first trip departing from Ninh Kieu Wharf in Can Tho to Dam Wharf in Con Dao Island last week.

The Mai Linh Express passenger capacity is around 350 seats with three seat tiers, consisting of 252 normal, 72 business and 8 deluxe seats. It takes about four hours to travel from one wharf to another. 

Prices for the tiers range from VND750,000 to VND1,500,000 per ticket.

Duong Tan Hien, vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, said that the new service would help with the city’s tourism and give tourists a whole new experience while travelling between the Mekong Delta and Con Dao Island and vice versa.
