Authorities in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, have launched an investigation after a charred body was discovered in a local cemetery today, February 22.

At noon, residents of Vinh Loc A Commune’s Hamlet 6 were horrified to find a burned corpse lying among the graves. Local police arrived at the scene shortly after being alerted and cordoned off the area for forensic examination.

At the scene, police found a motorbike registered in Ho Chi Minh City, along with medical documents and a hospital discharge paper.

Authorities have identified the deceased as N.B.T. (born 1957), a local resident.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, some residents speculate that Mr. T. may have taken his own life after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Authorities continue to investigate the case to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
