A fire and multiple loud explosions erupted from the second floor of a two-story house in Hanoi, leaving one young man dead at the scene.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on March 31, a firework explosion occurred in Thanh Nhan Hamlet, Thanh Xuan Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi, resulting in the death of a male youth.

Upon receiving reports from local residents, authorities quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire and provide emergency assistance. The flames were brought under control shortly afterward.

Speaking to VietNamNet, Chu Van Phuong, Chairman of the Thanh Xuan Commune People’s Committee, confirmed the incident, stating that the explosion and subsequent fire claimed the life of a young man born in 2006, originally from Hung Yen Province.

Initial investigations indicate that the victim was illegally manufacturing fireworks at the time of the explosion. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
