A 24-year-old South Korean first officer suffering from acute appendicitis aboard a passing cargo ship was swiftly rescued by Vietnam’s maritime rescue forces and transported to shore for emergency treatment.

The project's primary goal is to enhance the offshore aquaculture in Khanh Hoa province by improving productivity, adding value to the sector, and raising the income of local fish farmers and other stakeholders.

Ha Lien, a small fishing village in Khanh Hoa, has remained largely unchanged for centuries. Accessible only by a narrow road or by boat, it continues to maintain its unique identity despite modernization.
