MOET takes over the management of vocational education, along with three universities, 12 colleges, and one vocational secondary school from MOLISA.

Following the government’s restructuring plan under Resolution 18, aimed at streamlining administrative operations, the Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs and the Minister of Education and Training have signed an agreement to transfer several institutions and responsibilities. This transition aligns with an approved proposal by the authorities.

As part of this process, MOLISA has handed over its role in vocational education governance to MOET, which will now oversee and implement relevant policies in accordance with current laws.

The transferred institutions include:

Vocational Education Administration: Previously under MOLISA, this includes the Institute of Vocational Education Science, a public service unit.

Three universities under the Prime Minister’s jurisdiction: 

Nam Dinh University of Technical Education

Vinh University of Technical Education

Vinh Long University of Technical Education

Twelve colleges and one vocational secondary school previously managed by MOLISA:
