This prestigious event aims to highlight the creativity of fashion designers and build a bridge between the ASEAN and global fashion industries.
The Vietnamese models representing Mister Vietnam 2024 were Pham Van Quoc, Dang Anh Duong, Cao Quoc Thang, Thach Kiem Mara, and Do Quang Tuyen.
They confidently strutted down the catwalk, joining 40 designers from various countries, including the US, the Netherlands, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, along with over 40 models selected from across the region.
ASEAN Fashion Week was held at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore, carrying the message of strengthening relationships not only among ASEAN countries but also extending beyond the region through fashion.
The male models from Mister Vietnam held significant positions on the ASEAN runway. Notably, Thach Kiem Mara was the vedette for the collection by Singaporean designer Terry Yeo x Semula and also opened the show for designer Thet Su Waddy from Myanmar.
Dang Anh Duong and Cao Quoc Thang were the only two male models chosen to perform in the collection by Korean designer Sugun Kim, with Dang Anh Duong serving as the vedette.
Working in an international environment for the first time brought a mix of excitement and pressure for the Vietnamese models. They expressed that these experiences were invaluable and would help them advance in their modeling careers.
Phuc Nguyen, Chairman of the Mister Vietnam contest, emphasized that the contestants would have many more opportunities to participate in regional fashion events.
