According to the agenda of the ninth extraordinary session, on February 17, the National Assembly will hold discussions on a draft resolution piloting several policies aimed at resolving challenges in scientific and technological innovation. Lawmakers will also deliberate on special mechanisms and policies for investment in the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project.

Later that day, the National Assembly will vote on amendments to the Law on Organization of the National Assembly. After a presentation by a government representative, deputies will engage in group discussions regarding the organizational structure of the government and the number of cabinet members for the 15th National Assembly term.

On February 18, the National Assembly will vote on the revised Law on Government Organization and a resolution determining the number of cabinet members for the 15th National Assembly term. Additionally, the Standing Committee will present a draft resolution on the number of members in the National Assembly Standing Committee.

A significant portion of the February 18 session will be held behind closed doors to discuss personnel matters.

On February 19, the National Assembly will vote on a resolution to supplement the 2025 socio-economic development plan, which aims for a growth target of at least 8%. Lawmakers will also vote on a resolution regarding investment approval for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.

That same morning, the National Assembly will vote on a resolution piloting policies to address obstacles in scientific and technological innovation, as well as a resolution establishing special investment policies for the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project. Another resolution concerning state organizational restructuring and management will also be put to a vote.

The extraordinary session is scheduled to conclude by late morning on February 19.
