The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced 11 new national intangible cultural heritages, all of which are in the northern mountainous provinces of Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, and Yen Bai.

Mo Muong, Dinh Co Festival, and the art of traditional weaving of the Ba Na ethnic minority in Kon Tum province are among 14 new national intangible cultural heritages recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The list of 19 newly recognised national intangible cultural heritages was divided into various types including traditional festivals, social practices and beliefs, handicraft, folk knowledge and traditional performing arts.

Traditionally, the horse race in Bac Ha district in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai is usually held in the spring on a regional scale.

 VietNamNet Bridge – The worship of Tan Vien (the God of the Mountain), one of the Four Immortals in Vietnamese faith, will be officially recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage.
