Pepper prices have been increasing steadily on the world market since the beginning of the year, allowing Vietnamese exporters to earn $900 million.
Vietnam is seeking ways to revive the billion-dollar pepper industry which has been struggling against unfavourable weather conditions and the COVID-19 pandemic for over the last several years.
Vietnam is at risk of losing out on major pepper export markets due to increasing logistics costs, according to the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA).
