The Authority of Foreign Information Service on Thursday launched a photography and video contest with the aim of promoting Việt Nam’s achievements in the economy, culture and society fields.
All Vietnamese people and foreigners who are over 15 years old can join the “Happy Việt Nam” competition, which is organised annually by the Ministry of Information and Communication.
The contest aims to build an image of happy Việt Nam, expressing a close and heart-warming life in all regions. It is also an occasion for Vietnamese abroad and foreigners understand more about Vietnamese culture, come closer to each other and together building a prosperous Việt Nam.
The organiser will grant two first prizes, worth VNĐ100 million (US$4,200) each; two second prizes worth VNĐ30 million ($1,200) each; two third prizes worth VNĐ20 million ($840) each. It plans to give 20 encouragement prizes and several other prizes.
The photographs and videos can be sent to the organiser from June 15 to September 15 this year.
