Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is among the first foreign leaders invited to visit India following the country's parliamentary elections and the formation of a new government. This visit is also his first to India since the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2016.

Through meetings and exchanges, the two sides will consolidate traditional cooperation areas while expanding into potential fields such as electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, green economy, digital economy, AI, semiconductors, new materials, and essential minerals.
