Vietnamese digital technology firms achieved $11.5 billion in overseas revenue in 2024, with an annual growth rate exceeding 30%. The Ministry of Information and Communications aims to increase this figure to $100 billion by 2035, surpassing agricultural exports.

Minister Hung stressed the importance of exporting technology, calling it the best test of Vietnam's capabilities.

“Vietnam offers a rich environment for companies to develop cutting-edge solutions domestically before scaling globally. The ‘Make in Vietnam’ approach can help us achieve not only prosperity but also peace, as it supports the development of a robust defense and security industry,” he stated.

He further encouraged businesses to think of creating a metaphorical “Vietnamese magic crossbow” to safeguard the country’s future.

Resolution 57: A game-changer for innovation

Minister Hung highlighted the importance of Resolution 57, which promotes breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

He explained that all goals under Resolution 57 must be quantified into specific indicators, measured automatically, and publicly reported to ensure transparency and accountability.

Leaders, including FPT’s CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, praised the resolution as a pivotal support mechanism for the industry. Khoa emphasized FPT’s commitment to including other businesses in its ecosystem to foster collective growth, both domestically and internationally.

With the implementation of Resolution 57, Minister Hung is optimistic about the transformative impact of science, technology, and digital innovation.

“This revolution in innovation and digital transformation will play a crucial role in elevating Vietnam to a developed socialist nation by 2045,” he declared.
