At around noon on March 12, a truck suddenly caught fire while traveling on the expressway through Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province.

According to initial reports, the truck, registered under license plate 62H-061.X, was moving from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai when the driver noticed smoke rising from the cabin near Km18+400.

The driver immediately pulled over and attempted to extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher, but the effort was unsuccessful. Within minutes, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire front of the vehicle.

Firefighters quickly respond

Upon receiving the alert, the Dong Nai Fire and Rescue Police dispatched specialized firefighting vehicles and dozens of personnel to the scene to contain the blaze.

After approximately 15 minutes, the fire was fully extinguished. However, the truck’s cabin was completely burned down, leaving only a charred metal frame.

The incident caused significant congestion on the expressway, with vehicles backed up for nearly 5 kilometers towards Dong Nai. Traffic police were deployed to manage the situation and facilitate the removal of the damaged truck.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
