U17 Vietnam secured another victory against U17 Oman in a rematch held in the early hours of March 29, boosting confidence ahead of the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup.

Preparations for the Asian Championship

During this final warm-up match before the tournament, head coach Cristiano Roland continued to test various lineups to evaluate the players' form and performance before finalizing the squad for the Asian competition.

Compared to the first encounter, U17 Vietnam showed better cohesion and executed more structured gameplay. The team emerged victorious with a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from Le Tan Dung.

With this result, U17 Vietnam secured two consecutive 1-0 victories against U17 Oman, marking a successful warm-up ahead of the upcoming tournament.

Ready for the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025

Immediately after the match in Oman, the team moved on to Saudi Arabia to officially begin their campaign at the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup.

In the group stage, U17 Vietnam will face:

Australia on April 4 (22:00)

Japan on April 7 (22:00)

UAE on April 10 (22:00)

If they advance past the group stage, U17 Vietnam will secure a ticket to the 2025 World Cup.
