Star defender Doan Van Hau is the first player to leave the Vietnamese national football team during the preparation for the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup due to injury.

The Korean head coach of the Hanoi Football Club - Park Choong Kyun – has refused to join the training team of the Vietnam national football squad as an assistant to Mr. Park Hang-seo.

Coach Park Hang Seo currently has seven Korean assistants, including Lee Young Jin, Park Chung Kyun, Kim Tae Min, Kim Han Yoon, fitness expert Park Sung Gyun, goalkeeping coach Kim Hyun Tae and doctor Choi Ju Young.
