On January 31, Gresik Petrokimia of the Indonesian National Volleyball League unexpectedly announced the termination of its contract with outside hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy.

On her personal page, Thanh Thuy bid farewell to the team, saying: "Thank you for the time we shared. Wishing you strength and success in achieving your goals."

Currently, the 1.93m-tall spiker has rejoined VTV Binh Dien Long An and begun training for the new season. Prior to this, "4T" returned to Vietnam on January 31 to celebrate a belated Lunar New Year with her family.

Thanh Thuy's early departure from the Indonesian National Volleyball League marks an abrupt end to her stint with Gresik Petrokimia. The initial contract between the two parties was set for an entire season, lasting until the end of May.

Despite playing for only a month, Thanh Thuy left a strong impression in her seven matches for Gresik Petrokimia, emerging as one of the team's key scorers.

In her most recent match against Jakarta Pertamina on January 26, the Vietnamese national team player played all five sets and scored 16 points.

According to the schedule, Thanh Thuy and VTV Binh Dien Long An will train in Long An for three weeks before heading to the north to compete in their first tournament of 2025, the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup, which is set to take place in early March.
