Hung Nguyen has experience participating in large-scale fashion projects in Malaysia, Vietnam International Fashion Week, and more.

Hung Nguyen, a professional dance instructor and model, has been chosen to represent Vietnam at the 8th edition of Mister Tourism World, an international male pageant promoting tourism, culture, and environmental awareness.

The competition will take place from February 12-20, 2025, in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam.

He will compete against 30 contestants from around the world and sees this as an opportunity to showcase Vietnam’s landscapes, culture, and people to a global audience.

A strong background in performance and modeling

Hung Nguyen, whose full name is Nguyen Huu Hung, was born in 1998 in Hai Duong. He is a professional dancer and dance instructor with a career that includes performing at major music festivals, concerts, and New Year countdown events.

He previously won second place in a national dance competition and has worked with renowned Vietnamese artists such as diva My Linh, Hong Nhung, Son Tung M-TP, Noo Phuoc Thinh, and rappers Double2T and BigDaddy.

Beyond dancing, Hung Nguyen has experience in the fashion industry, having participated in Vietnam International Fashion Week and large-scale events in Malaysia. His exposure to international fashion and stage performance has helped him develop the skills needed for a global competition.

A last-minute candidate switch

Originally, the Vietnamese delegate for Mister Tourism World 2025 was announced as Vo Minh Thoai, a model. However, the organizing committee reconsidered their decision, noting that Thoai was a newcomer with limited experience and insufficient preparation time for such a large-scale competition.

With that in mind, they selected Hung Nguyen, whose performance background and industry experience made him a more suitable representative.

Standing at 1.88m tall and weighing 75kg, Hung Nguyen is now focused on intensive training to enhance his physique, stage presence, and communication skills. He is determined to make a strong impression at the competition.

A platform for cultural and tourism promotion

Mister Tourism World was founded in 2016 in the Philippines as an annual pageant for men who advocate for sustainable tourism, environmental conservation, and cultural heritage.

Vietnam has previously sent four contestants to the competition: Pham Xuan Hien, Tran Manh Kien, Phung Phuoc Thinh, and Nguyen Quoc Tri. The 2025 edition, hosted in Vietnam for the first time, will serve as a major tourism promotion event for the country.

The finals will be held at Vinh Hy Bay, Ninh Thuan, on February 18, 2025, with contestants participating in cultural, tourism, and community engagement activities leading up to the grand night.
