At the Vietnam Sparkling exhibition in Austria, artist Vuong Linh made her debut with a series of landscape paintings influenced by post-impressionism and neo-cubism.
Utilizing a monochromatic color palette, her works exude a dreamy and emotional charm that captivated European art enthusiasts.
The exhibition featured four paintings from her series "Seasons Searching for Each Other", which showcased vivid yet gentle spring blooms from northern Vietnam, tranquil sunsets, and fiery flamboyant flowers of summer.
All of these were created with oil on canvas, highlighting Vuong Linh's passion for nature and her skill in capturing seasonal transitions.
Overcoming challenges to introduce Vietnamese art
Vuong Linh meticulously researched the art preferences of the Austrian audience to ensure her works would resonate with them. Despite facing challenges such as high gallery rental fees and shipping costs, she remained determined to conquer the hearts of even the most discerning art lovers in Austria.
Sharing her journey, Linh said: "It wasn’t easy to organize this exhibition abroad, but I believe in the power of art to connect cultures and emotions. My works reflect my love for Vietnam’s landscapes and seasons."
A promising artistic career
Before "Vietnam Sparkling," Vuong Linh had already participated in numerous international exhibitions with fellow artists in Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai - the most recent being Dubai in February 2025.
Vuong Linh was born in 1988 into a family rich in artistic tradition - her father is director Vuong Duc and her mother, actress Ngoc Bich.
At the age of six, she followed her parents to the filming location of "The Woodcutters" in a tropical forest in Ha Tinh, Vietnam. These childhood memories nurtured her passion for nature and art.
By the age of eight, she was already drawing with chalk and pencils on any surface available, from floors to walls. Recognizing her remarkable passion for art, her father brought her to study under painters Pham Viet Song and Tham Duc Tu. Later, she was admitted to the University of Theatre and Cinema, majoring in Art Design.
In 2020, Vuong Linh became the only female Vietnamese artist among the top 5% of most-sold artists on the Singulart platform, marking a significant milestone in her career.
