At 10 am on January 16, many passengers wearing T-shirts printed with the national flag appeared at Terminal T2 at the Noi Bai airport.

Most of them are loyal fans of the Vietnamese national football team who have attended all matches of the team, both at home and abroad.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tan and his daughter Nguyen Tan Linh were excited before departure. Tan said that in 2019, he flew to the Philippines to watch the final match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Indonesia. This is the second time he had gone abroad to support coach Park Hang-seo and his players. "Although it is difficult, I believe that tonight, the Vietnamese team will beat Thailand 1-0 to win the championship," Tan said.

Mr. Pham Van Thuc with the banner "Vietnam - the champion" has followed the team to all matches in Vietnam and overseas. For the past few decades, he has always carried a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh to all matches. His wife, Ms. Le Thi Hong An, joined this trip with Thuc.

A representative of Vietravel said that on January 15-16, about 150 football fans books its tours (two days one night) to Bangkok, Thailand. The price is 6.5 million VND/person from Hanoi and 13 million VND/person from Ho Chi Minh City.
