An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale hit Kon Plong district of Kon Tum on the morning of September 22, following detection by the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning Centre under the Institute of Geophysics of Vietnam.
The earthquakes were assessed to be on small scales and not cause natural disaster risks but people should not be negligent.
Kon Plong District in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum experienced a series of seven earthquakes from the night of July 11 to the morning of July 12, according to the Institute of Geophysics.
Four consecutive earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 3.5 to 4.2 hit Kon Plong district, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum, on the morning of July 7.
Four earthquakes were reported in Kon Tum and Quảng Ngãi provinces on Tuesday, according to the Institute of Geophysics (IGP)
The earthquake with the biggest scale was the one with magnitude of 4.7 in the afternoon of August 23, 2022, followed by another one with magnitude of 4.5 at noon of April 18, 2022.
A series of quakes struck Lai Chau and Vinh Phuc provinces this morning, March 3, rattling local homes but causing no major damage.
