Ca tru or ceremonial singing is a complex form of sung poetry found in the north of Vietnam which has been preserved and revived in many localities nationwide. 

 A programme has been held in Bac Ninh city, the northern province of Bac Ninh to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Quan ho (love duet) singing being recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

 The spring festival of Dong Ky village in Tu Son district in the northern province of Bac Ninh opens on the fourth day of the first lunar month and always attracts a large crowd of locals and visitors. 

 Every year, from the ninth to the 12th day of the lunar calendar, villagers in Trieu Khuc eagerly enjoy their traditional Trieu Khuc village festival, with the highlight “danh bong” dance.

 In celebration of International Francophonie Day (March 20), a music program titled “Music Night with Chaton” will be held at the French cultural center L’Espace in Hanoi on March 23.

 A multimedia installation and live performance show called “Interactive Sound Installations“ by the duo Vienna-based artists Cao Thanh Lan (Vietnam) and Gregor Siedl (Austria) will be held at Heritage Space in Hanoi on March 1, starting at 8 p.m.

On the 8th day of the first lunar month every year, locals in Thi Cam village (Xuan Phuong ward, Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem district) join together at the village’s communal house to celebrate their traditional rice cooking contest.

 Fire dancing festival is a special cultural activity of the Pa Then ethnic group at Hong Quang commune, Lam Binh district, Tuyen Quang province, showing the spirit of daring to cope with danger, and dispelling diseases.
