Forecast of 2nd DPRK - USA summit

US President Donald Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong Un took a walk after their meeting at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel on Feb. 28.

US President Donald Trump and leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un on February 28 attended an expanded meeting with members of the two delegations in Hanoi following their 45-minute one-on-one meeting earlier the same day. 

 China has voiced its support for the second summit between US President Donald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un in Hanoi from February 27-28, the Global Times said.

 Vietnam is relishing its role as a promoter of peace as it is the host of the 2nd DPRK-USA Summit, which is considered one of the most important events in the world in 2019, said Japan Times. 

Vietnam has carried out a host of measures to ensure security and safety and logistics for the second DPRK-USA Summit’s success. The country's efforts have been acknowledged by the international community.

 The 19th ASEAN-India Joint Cooperation Committee (AIJCC) Meeting took place in Jakarta, Indonesia on February 26.
