According to the university, Van Chi Nam, previously the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, officially assumed the role of Vice Rector on March 1.

Born in Bac Lieu, Nam is an alumnus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Science, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Information Technology.

Before his appointment as Vice Rector, he served as a teaching assistant and lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology. Over the years, Nam has held various administrative positions within the university, including Head of Student Affairs (from December 2012 to May 2018), Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology (since August 2018), Acting Secretary of the University Youth Union (2009), and a member of the university’s Communist Party Committee (since March 2015).

With this appointment, the university’s leadership team now consists of three members: Associate Professor Dr. Tran Le Quan as Rector, along with two Vice Rectors - Associate Professor Dr. Tran Minh Triet and Master Van Chi Nam.
