According to a draft plan submitted to the Prime Minister, the Government Inspectorate aims to implement the conclusions of the Politburo and the Secretariat related to the restructuring of the national inspection system.

This plan includes reorganizing the structure, operations, and personnel of the Government Inspectorate by terminating the operations of 12 ministerial inspectorates and five departmental-level units within the Government Inspectorate.

Additionally, the Government Inspectorate has proposed merging the Inspector Training School with the Institute of Inspection Science Strategy.

The central-level restructuring will be overseen by the Government Inspectorate, while local-level restructuring will be led by provincial People's Committees in coordination with the Government Inspectorate.

The process of transferring civil servants, reassigning tasks, and handing over relevant documents and files is expected to be completed by May 30, 2025.

At the local level, the Government Inspectorate has proposed dissolving current district-level, department-level, and provincial-level inspectorates.

Accordingly, provincial and municipal People's Committees will lead the development and implementation of restructuring plans. These plans will outline the transfer of responsibilities, records, and staff from district and department inspectorates to the provincial-level inspectorates.

The restructuring of local inspectorates must align with the broader plan for reorganizing provincial administrative units.

During this process, the Government Inspectorate will also review, amend, and refine legal frameworks related to inspection organization and operations.

A streamlined draft decree will be submitted to the government, detailing the functions, duties, powers, and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate.

Regarding office space and infrastructure, the proposed plan prioritizes optimal use of the Government Inspectorate’s existing facilities.

Offices vacated due to the restructuring of government agencies will be allocated where feasible to avoid waste and ensure cost-efficiency. In cases where immediate reallocation is not possible, temporary office rentals will be considered to ensure uninterrupted operations.
