On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man recently signed a series of resolutions concerning government personnel restructuring.
Additional deputy ministers appointed

According to Resolution No. 1402 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, additional deputy minister and deputy head positions have been approved for various ministries and agencies. This decision aims to facilitate the reorganization and streamlining of government operations while addressing leadership staffing needs.
Specifically, the resolution states:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have one additional deputy minister, bringing the total to no more than seven.
The Ministry of Finance will gain four additional deputy ministers, raising the total to no more than nine.
The Ministry of Construction will also see an increase of four deputy ministers, bringing its total to nine.
The Ministry of Home Affairs will add two more deputy ministers, increasing its total to seven.
The State Bank of Vietnam will appoint one additional deputy governor, making a total of six deputy governors.
The resolution will take effect on February 6, 2025.
Approval of organizational structure for the Supreme People’s Procuracy
In addition to ministerial changes, Resolution No. 1403 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly formally approves the organizational structure of the Supreme People’s Procuracy. The resolution validates the Chief Prosecutor’s proposal regarding the agency’s structure, which includes 24 functional units.
Among these units are:
The Supervisory Committee
The Office of the Supreme People’s Procuracy
Various departments handling criminal prosecution and judicial oversight, including divisions for security, economic crimes, drug offenses, and judicial cases
The investigative unit of the Supreme People’s Procuracy
Departments for civil and administrative litigation supervision
The Bureau of Statistics and Digital Transformation
The Inspectorate
The Finance Department
The Academy of Procuracy, including its Ho Chi Minh City branch
The Institute of Legal Science
The Supreme Military Procuracy
This resolution took effect upon approval on February 7, 2025. The previous decision under Resolution No. 951/NQ-UBTVQH13, issued on May 28, 2015, is now nullified.
Implementation of judicial reforms under the 2024 Law on the Organization of People’s Courts
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has also passed two resolutions to support the enforcement of the revised Law on the Organization of People’s Courts, enacted in 2024.
Resolution No. 66/2025 amends and supplements provisions related to salary scales, allowances, and professional compensation for judicial and prosecutorial officials.
Resolution No. 67/2025 establishes rank classifications, promotion criteria, and the number of judges at each level within the People’s Courts.
