A Russian tourist, Aleksandra, 45, was successfully rescued after being swept out to sea by strong waves while windsurfing at Mui Ne Beach in Binh Thuan Province.
On the evening of January 25, at 9:50 PM, Mui Ne Border Post received an emergency report about Aleksandra’s situation. While windsurfing, Aleksandra encountered bad weather and was carried approximately five nautical miles south of Mui Ne Bay in Phan Thiet City.
Upon receiving the information, the border guards immediately dispatched two officers along with a fishing boat and four local fishermen to assist in the search and rescue operation.
After nearly two hours of searching in challenging conditions, Aleksandra was located and brought back to shore safely early on the morning of January 26. The tourist’s health is reported to be stable following the ordeal.
