Thousands of spectators gathered along the Long Bien-Xuan Quan dyke near Co Linh Road to watch a breathtaking air show featuring Su-30MK2 fighter jets and Mi helicopters.
The event began with seven Mi helicopters flying in formation, proudly carrying the national flag and the Vietnam Defense Exhibition banner. The helicopters performed a series of technical maneuvers at varying altitudes, showcasing their versatility in both combat and rescue operations.
Spectators, including families waving the national flag, climbed to rooftops and vantage points to get the best view of the show. The atmosphere was electric, with roads in the area congested as people gathered to catch the aerial performances.
The highlight of the morning was the Su-30MK2 fighter jets, renowned for their advanced capabilities and dubbed “guardians of the skies.” The jets executed complex formations, simulating modern combat scenarios with precision.
One of the most thrilling moments was when the Su-30MK2 performed a dramatic flare release, demonstrating its ability to evade missile threats. The jets also showcased acrobatic maneuvers, including tight loops and rapid directional changes, leaving the crowd in awe.
The performances not only highlighted the capabilities of Vietnam’s modern air fleet but also set an energetic tone for the Defense Expo, which features cutting-edge defense technologies from around the world.
