On the afternoon of March 24, Duong Thi Ngoc Quynh, a resident of Hoang Mai District, reported to VietNamNet that on March 23, she had filed a complaint with the police, accusing Einstein Academy Preschool of mistreating her son.

According to Quynh’s complaint, her son attended the Moon Reggio class, which had a homeroom teacher and two additional teachers.

"From March 10 to 17, I noticed that my son appeared traumatized whenever school was mentioned. He was fearful, reluctant to go to school, and kept saying, 'The teachers hit me.' After thorough questioning, my son revealed that the teachers repeatedly hit him. On March 17, after my father spoke with the teachers, they admitted to lightly hitting my son because he lacked life skills and asked for our understanding to continue teaching him," Quynh recounted.

Quynh also said that on March 19, she visited the school to meet with the manager, who claimed to be unaware of the situation and insisted that no child abuse had occurred. Subsequently, Quynh requested that the school extract the CCTV footage for review.

CCTV footage confirms abuse

The school initially allowed Quynh to view only the footage from March 18, covering the classroom and restroom.

On March 20, after reporting the incident to the Mai Dong Ward Police, the school eventually provided the complete footage but continued to deny the abuse allegations.

However, upon reviewing the footage, Quynh discovered that not only her son but also other children in the class were frequently hit.

The mother expressed deep frustration, stating that her child was traumatized and terrified of going to school, constantly saying that the teachers hit him painfully.

As a result, Quynh took her son for psychological evaluation and filed a complaint with the authorities, requesting a thorough investigation.

School admits wrongdoing and dismisses teachers

On March 24, speaking to VietNamNet, a representative of Einstein Academy Preschool admitted that teachers had slapped the child, as reported by Quynh.

After becoming aware of the incident, the school and the family reported the matter to the relevant authorities for investigation.

The school subsequently dismissed all three teachers involved from the Moon Reggio class. However, they are still required to cooperate with authorities during the investigation.

"We consider this incident deeply regrettable, especially given that the homeroom teacher has worked at the school for many years yet exhibited such unprofessional behavior. We have sincerely apologized to the family and acknowledged that part of the fault lies with the school. We will seriously learn from this experience and ensure that such incidents do not occur again," said the school representative.

According to the school’s website, Einstein Academy Preschool is located on the first and second floors of Tower N02, New Horizon Condominium, 87 Linh Nam Street (Mai Dong, Hoang Mai). The school covers an area of nearly 2,000 square meters and includes 16 classrooms.
