"By the upcoming April 30 holiday, investors must focus on completing and opening the main route of four component projects on the North–South expressway: Bai Vot – Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi – Vung Ang, Bung – Van Ninh, and Van Phong – Nha Trang," directed Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh.

At the March 2025 monthly infrastructure coordination meeting held on April 1 by the Ministry of Construction, the Department of Construction Economics and Investment Management reported that 47 projects are currently under construction. These include 31 road projects, 4 inland waterway and maritime projects, 11 railway projects, and 1 project involving the renovation of the ministry's headquarters at 80 Tran Hung Dao Street in Hanoi.

Among them, 40 projects are progressing in line with the required schedule, while 8 are delayed, primarily due to slow site clearance and relocation of technical infrastructure.

Regarding expressways, aiming to complete 3,000 kilometers of expressways by 2025, the department stated that approximately 1,188 kilometers are expected to be finished within the year. This includes 28 projects or component projects, divided into two groups.

Of particular focus are the four North–South expressway segments: Bai Vot – Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi – Vung Ang, Bung – Van Ninh, and Van Phong – Nha Trang. These are scheduled to open for traffic on the main route by April 30. Their current construction progress basically meets the planned requirements.

At the meeting, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh emphasized that completing 3,000 kilometers of expressways in 2025 is a core mission that the construction sector must be determined to fulfill.

"In the immediate term, for the April 30 holiday, investors must concentrate on opening traffic for the main routes of the four component projects on the North–South expressway: Bai Vot – Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi – Vung Ang, Bung – Van Ninh, and Van Phong – Nha Trang.

In addition, 20 kilometers of the Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway (from National Highway 1A to the Nguyen Van Tao interchange) must be opened, and the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge must be connected," the Minister instructed.

Regarding the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project, Minister Tran Hong Minh directed that all preparatory procedures be urgently completed so that construction can begin by the end of this year.

As for the Long Thanh International Airport project, Minister Tran Hong Minh required the Deputy Minister in charge to urge the investor to tightly control the schedule and instruct contractors to further accelerate work on key items.
