Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and four Japanese agencies on July 1 signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on sending specific skilled workers of Vietnam to work in Japan.

More than 700 Japanese candidates on June 23 registered for the third Vietnamese-language proficiency test held by the Japan College of Foreign Languages in Tokyo.

Vietnam and Japan have sought concrete orientations and measures to develop their extensive strategic partnership, especially in politics-diplomacy, national defence and security.

 Japan treasures its ties with Vietnam and will continue its cooperation and assistance for Vietnam’s development, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stated while receiving Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh in Tokyo on May 21.

 Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung has described 2014 as a successful year for the relationship between Vietnam and Japan since the two countries elevated their ties to an extensive strategic partnership.

 Japan is looking to further cooperation with Vietnam in the agriculture and fishery industries, said Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Nishikawa Koya at a meeting with President Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi on January 21.
