Two of Vietnam’s top volleyball spikers, Bich Thuy and Bich Tuyen, are steadily advancing plans to compete in the 2025–26 Korean V-League season.
According to Korean media, middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy has completed the necessary application to trial for the upcoming season. After a successful stint with GS Caltex last year, the 1.84-meter-tall player is aiming to return to compete professionally in South Korea.
Given her impressive performance in the previous season, Bich Thuy is expected to pass the upcoming trial with ease. If successful, she could continue playing for GS Caltex or sign with another V-League club.
During the first phase of Vietnam’s 2025 National Volleyball Championship, GS Caltex head coach Young Taik Lee traveled to Vietnam to scout top athletes, including Bich Thuy. He was particularly impressed by outside hitter Bich Tuyen and expressed regret that Tran Thi Thanh Thuy had withdrawn from trial opportunities in Korea.
In a promising development, Bich Tuyen is now in the process of preparing documents for her own tryout in the Korean league.
Before heading abroad, Bich Tuyen will compete with her teammates from Ninh Binh Club in the Hung Vuong Cup 2025 (April 3–6 in Phu Tho). She is also expected to join VTV Binh Dien Long An on loan for the upcoming 2025 AVC Champions League.
