On April 2, the Hoa Hiep Nam Ward People’s Committee confirmed that local authorities, in coordination with relevant agencies, had completed the burial of the disfigured body, which had been carried in by the tide and found along the beach.
The gruesome discovery was made on the afternoon of April 1, when residents spotted the headless remains on the beach in Phu Lac Hamlet. The corpse was also missing both feet and one arm, prompting immediate notification to the local authorities.
Authorities quickly reported the case to higher-level agencies, and an autopsy was ordered.
Initial reports suggest that the body belonged to a male and was in an advanced state of decomposition, emitting a strong odor.
Due to the condition of the body and the inability to identify the victim, the Hoa Hiep Nam Ward administration took responsibility for the burial, which was carried out at a local cemetery.
