Tran Thi Bich Thuy continues to shine with an outstanding performance, playing a key role in GS Caltex’s 3-1 victory over defending champions Hyundai E&C Hillstate in the 2025 Korean Volleyball Championship.

On March 2, Bich Thuy and her teammates faced off against Hyundai E&C Hillstate, the reigning champions of the Korean V-League. Their previous encounter on February 18 saw GS Caltex pull off a shocking 3-2 win, with Bich Thuy contributing 7 points and a 42.9% attack efficiency.

Right from the start, GS Caltex, fueled by Gyselle Silva’s powerful performance, went head-to-head with Hyundai E&C Hillstate in an intense match. Both teams battled fiercely, with the score locked at 19-19 in the first set. However, Bich Thuy’s team secured crucial late points, clinching the set 25-20.

Riding the momentum, GS Caltex dominated early in the second set. However, a lapse in focus cost them dearly, as they fell 27-29 despite Bich Thuy scoring 5 points in this set alone.

Determined to bounce back, GS Caltex took the third set 25-22. In the fourth set, Bich Thuy delivered a stellar defensive performance and an impressive serving streak, scoring 7 consecutive points. GS Caltex sealed the victory with a 25-21 win, taking the match 3-1.

Beyond her defensive contributions, Bich Thuy racked up 9 points and delivered a remarkable 87.5% attack efficiency, the highest among all players from both teams.
